Why Shallow Feeders Work for Brachycephalic Dogs

Flat-faced breeds — brachycephalic dogs like pugs, French bulldogs, bulldogs, and Boston terriers — have difficulty reaching food in deep bowls due to their shortened snouts. Shallow slow feeder trays provide the perfect depth: easy to reach but still textured enough to slow eating, reduce gulping, and provide mental enrichment at every meal.

Slow Down Fast Eaters, Spark Mental Wellness

The SodaPup Waiting Dogs eTray is a shallow enrichment slow feeder tray designed for dogs of all breeds and sizes. The relief-sculpted surface features waiting dog silhouettes surrounded by texture channels and ridges that distribute food across the tray's surface — making your dog hunt, lick, and problem-solve through each meal rather than inhaling it in seconds.

Slowing mealtime doesn't just reduce the risk of bloat and digestive discomfort — it also satisfies your dog's natural desire to work for food. The result is a calmer, more satisfied dog after every feeding. Freeze it with peanut butter, yogurt, or wet food for an extended enrichment session that keeps even high-energy dogs occupied. Crafted from safe, durable, FDA-compliant TPE and made in the USA, the Waiting Dogs eTray is a slow feeder you can feel good about serving every day.
