Our 2 dogs love these honeypots so much more than kongs! They get discouraged by kongs and leave a good amount of food/treat behind but never with these honeypots! They ALWAYS lick them clean so I feel comfortable putting their meals in them and freezing them. I keep hearing that there is a risk for the dog’s tongue to get stuck inside by suction but the opening is pretty large so it seems unlikely to me. Regardless, I don’t let my dogs have them unless I am there to supervise.

And you are right! This product does not need a vent hole because the opening is so wide that a dog's tongue cannot create suction in the toy.
